The telephoto is a Pentax, but has an extra part that does not allow you to ***** in support of the target.

The objectives pi? Pentax in advance of having used an M42 *****. You should look for an adapter for the Pentax PK-M42 or some similar title. Try eBay or an online retailer of used. I can not say that you present limitations. Your manual should tell you what those are. Clearly don 't provide the auto-focus, but that others don' t know.

You don 't say what the additional part is or what it does. It comes from another Pentax model? If so your goals on Pentax K1000 screwed? Where was the camera and my goal and I have learned that the threads of lives were consistent I could try to "adapt" the objective modified to fit if I wasn 't planning on using the on any other camera and if you knew that removal of the "part" attached, would the operation of the target. But in your case, I think the best advice I could give was to take the body of camera and lens to a filing the camera (or more than one) and ask how to mount the lens.
